It is a genuine item that is supplied directly from the original manufacturer for use with DeWALT compound miter saws. The lever provides a user with a comfortable grip to lock the bevel at the desired angle. It provides an identical replacement for a faulty or a missing component that was installed on a new unit. To ensure the correct installation of this lever, refer to the diagrams of your model. One durable plastic part is included. Note, the hardware to secure it is sold separately. You will need a socket wrench to remove and resecure the nut that holds this lever.

Broken Lever on the Miter saw

1. Removed extension rod by backing off jam nut.
2. Removed one bolt that held the lever.
3. After extending rod completely install and adjust until the miter adjustment will lock.

1. Put the saw on its end.
2. Remove the rod from the lock with a wrench.
3. Install the new lock, tighten and adjust the rod for tension. Done

Plastic Mitre Guage Lever Broke

The plastic mitre gauge lever on my DeWalt 12\" mitre saw broke. I found a new replacement part on ereplacementparts.com and it was shipped and delivered within a week. Removed the hinge pin and push-rod in order to remove broken lever. I had it back together and in use in a matter of minutes. Easy repair thanks to ereplacementparts.com!

1. Make sure the saw is unplugged
2. With a punch knock the pin out from left to right
3. The lever should fall in your hand along with a bar that locks the saw from moving, when the handle is pushed down.
4. Pull the lock rod and hardware off the old and place on the new.
5. Install in the reverse order. Make su re to set the pin into the saw completely. Also insure the lock rod is adjusted to the new handle.

Just replaced the parts one by one, reversed the process. Hardest part were the wheels for the lower guard, they were held on by a catch washer which I had to pry off and straighten.
