Perhaps the screws securing the belt cover were torqued too tight at manufacture, don\'t really know. The screw ports just simply split apart around the mounting screws, so the belt cover just popped off with the screws and surrounding plastic remaining in place. Saw fell of of saw horses, Landing on the back end of arm. Cracking the aluminum housing in three places.
Removed the arm assembly and replaced with exact matching parts from ereplacementparts. Went surprisingly fast. Originally told by others I would have to buy a new saw. Mine was no longer available for parts replacement. Right at 100.00 to repair, instead of 350 to replace.
Remove the 2 screws that hold the broken belt cover on. Then install new cover with the same screws.
