Dmitriy For model number Shishlodima4u@icloud.com - February 23, 2023

Hi Dmitry, Thank you for your question. If you had smoke coming from the top of your miter saw and it is not working, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the carbon brushes, the brush and ring assembly, the ball bearings, the belt, the switch and the power cord. Once you have determined the part you need, please call customer service. We look forward to hearing from you!

I watched several your YouTube video and thought this was a repair I could do myself and it was fairly easy. Actually easier than I expected since the armature had both bearings already on it. The armature was easy to remove, did not require a mallet to break it loose

Replaced the switch first as my ohm meter indicated it was no good. The saw then arced and ran intermittently. Checked the brushes and found them all but gone. Should have checked them at the same time as the switch. Ordered the brushes and as soon as they arrived it was a matter of minutes until I was up and running again. A simple repai r for just about anyone.
