This is a genuine Echo replacement grommet that is supplied directly from original equipment manufacturer. It is designed for use with gas powered handheld lawn and garden equipment. This grommet fits in the fuel tank and it helps to secure hose and seal the opening. It is made out of durable rubber and it is sold individually. When replacing this grommet make sure to disconnect the spark plug for safety.
Dumped all fuel into a gas can. Used a wire shepherd\'s hook that I made from a hangar, and used it to pull the fuel pipe to the tank opening and popped it out of the tank. Reassembly with new components is simply the same in reverse order. Once completed, install new fuel filter and use the shepherd\'s hook to move the fuel pipe/filter to its original position in the tank.
The Grommet was very hard to get at and not easy to get it in place! No way to apply direct pressure to the top of the grommet. I know you couldn\'t apply a grease or oil because this would swell up the rubber, I thought a little bit and decided to use Vaseline as a lubricant which would not swell up the rubber grommet! Anyway, I got the job done, for sure \"no\" Echo dealer stocked the specific grommet for the job except you, and the dealers wanted a fortune for shipping such to me!
