Lift front end.
Remove cotter pins.
Remove linkage.
Remove bushings & bearings.
Replace bushings & bearings.
Replace linkage.
Lower mower.
Check steering.
Start mowing.

Replaced nylon bushing on steering shaft and linkage arms

Very simple , remove keeper clips, shaft will fall out. Remove the old bushings and shaft and install the new ones. no grease needed on bushings.

All steering bushings worn out. Friction disk was worn.

Steering:
Removed the steering wheel roll pin.
Removed the cutter pins from all steering joints.
Removed the steering shaft.
Replaced all bushings and cutter pins.

Friction Disk:
Removed 4 nuts holding the outer plate and paper thrust washer.
Replaced the friction disk.
Installed thru st washer and outer plate along with nuts.

1. Remove both front tires
2. Remove all cotter keys from steering parts
3. Remove snap-rings from both spindles
4. Install new bearings, 8, in spindles and tie rod ends
5. This tightened up the steering
