I took off decking and spray some penetrating oil on the nut and let it sit for little while came right off.put new parts on works great.and before I put decking back on I greased the bearings its a lot easier.
Removed all of the parts from the existing upper handle, removed the broken knobs from the bolts and remove the old handle. Installed the new upper handle with the new knobs and bolts. ... Read morek. Keep pressure on the spring and hook the end of it to the indent on the mulch cover, then push the pin thru the other end of the bracket, and place the push caps on the ends of the pin.

So the lawn tractor is a 2004 Murray 42 inch with 17.5 hp Briggs engine. The deck hanger mechanism uses a special pin bolt which I was fortunate to find at E-replacement parts. I received the order which included the plastic butterfly knobs for adjusting the height. so after removing the wrong parts I jacked up the mower deck to a height
... Read morethat I wanted to use as a maximum. Then I installed the new hanger assembly and tightened the knobs.
The height can be set at a variety of heights due to an elongated slot in the mechanism.
The clutch cable broke and at the time I wasn\'t sure what parts I needed the picture of the mower wasn\'t all that great. The drive wheel was wearing after a lot of use so I replaced that everything was as easy .
