This authentic OEM sourced part is made for use with Murray riding lawn mowers and garden tractors. It is one of the special hanger pins which are utilized to secure suspension brackets to the main deck. If the hardware is damaged or is missing, this will provide an identical replacement for the original component that was installed on a new unit. One durable metal pin is included. A wrench set will be needed to remove the old part and secure the new one. Please refer to the appropriate diagrams of your specific model for the exact location and the correct application of this hardware.

The mower deck hangers were \"jerry-rigged\" and I couldn\'t raise the mowing deck more the a few inches off the ground

So the lawn tractor is a 2004 Murray 42 inch with 17.5 hp Briggs engine. The deck hanger mechanism uses a special pin bolt which I was fortunate to find at E-replacement parts. I received the order which included the plastic butterfly knobs for adjusting the height. so after removing the wrong parts I jacked up the mower deck to a height that I wanted to use as a maximum. Then I installed the new hanger assembly and tightened the knobs.
The height can be set at a variety of heights due to an elongated slot in the mechanism.

Fastened wing knob nut to other end of pin
Extremely easy job that took less then 5 minutes
Works great! Adjusted deck to level and was back mowing in no time, thanks to ereplacementparts.com!!
