Completely dismantled trimmer to replace gear box then reassembled using all the parts ordered. I had to be careful reassembling the blades as the two gears had to be installed 180 degrees so blades would oscillate as designed otherwise the gear shaft could be bent again when starting engine.

Gearbox had become loose and cutter arms were vibrating. One gearbox screw was missing.

1. Removed gearbox cover.
2. Retighten cutter bar bolts after re-applying grease to both bars.
3. Removed and replaced gearbox Gasket and Seal.
4. Repacked grease in gearbox.
5. Replaced gearbox cover with new gasket.
6. Replaced missing gearbox screw.
7. Replaced gearbox screws that showed wear. ... Read more >8. Torqued all screws and bolts.
9. Tested Hedge Trimmer for proper operation and clearance.
