This replacement foam filter element is specially designed for Honda engines. It is a genuine OEM supplied part, not an aftermarket equivalent. This filter is used to remove the dust and debris from contaminating the carburetor and the engine. Over time it will get clogged interfering with the airflow. Replacing this filter is a very simple task that does nto require any tools. Simply remove the cover and replace the filter element.

Took off the housing and r&r\'d the plug. Another housing to change the air filter. Pulled the fuel intake line out of the tank with the aid of a small hooked tool and r&r\'d the fuel filter. All very easy .

Bracket that held swivel/throttle cable broke in half.

Removed carburetor cover. Detached air and fuel hoses. Removed 4 bolts (screws). Removed carb and gasket. Replaced gasket, carb, screws, hoses, housing. Primed carb, and it started on 2nd pull. Works great.
