I ordered a new clutch cable. I took the old cable off the metal bar with holes, very easy. Metal curvy pieces attached to bar comes out easy. Put new cable on and works beautifully. Very easy fix.

Fitting at end of clutch cable sheared

1. Slid sleeve at bottom of cable up to reveal junction plate.
2. Disconnected broken cable from junction plate.
3. Installed sleeve on new cable. NOTE: Thread lower end of cable through closed end of sleeve first unless you enjoy solving those bent-nail puzzles (Please don\'t ask me why I included this note).
4. Insert cable lower-end fitting into junction plate, flip clutch lever forward as far as it will go and insert upper cable fitting.

There! You\'re done and it should take less than 5 minutes, start to finish.

I took a look at how the old cable was attached, then just had to take the off the old stretched cable and replace it with the new one. Easy.

1. Remove lower cover of drive and clutch area of the snowblower.
2. Replace cable.
3. Put cover back on and off and running.
