Separated auger housing from motor/transmission unit. Disassemble complete auger housing, removed auger impellers, split worm gear housing, removed impeller, worm gear shaft bushings, etc. Cleaned all parts, then reassembled with new parts in reverse order. Job complete. Works great! Thank You

This repair went well considering who did it. I\'m reasonably mechanical, but not an expert. To replace the housing, you have to take the front half of the snowblower off and get at the shaft from the inside. Once I discovered that, it took some time to discover the right connections to disassemble. Eventually, I got the impeller out of t he chassis and reinstalled the Reducer housing.
The housing did not come with replacement bolts, so I had to purchase new ones since I did not want to re-use the old parts. Self-tapping bolts did the trick.
Since I had the whole front end off, I tightened up some other parts that were loose before re-assembling the unit. Now, I\'m ready for some snow.
