Removed housing from snow blower to gain access to bolt holding the worm shaft. removed worm assembly and disassembled. Removed blower fan from old worm shaft by drilling out pins. (drilling pins was the hardest part). Used rotary tool to grind high spots of shaft so I could remove the worm gear. Scraped and sanded sides of auger ass
... Read moreembly to remove old silicone. Filled auger assembly with grease and installed new shaft and worm gear. Put auger assembly back together with silicone. Put blower fan on new shaft with pins and installed into housing. Attached housing to snowblower. Mounted belts.
Removed and disassembled auger and gearbox per your tube video. Carefully cleaned gearbox of brass gear filings. Checked output shaft to ensure it is not ruined. Separated front section of machine from motor back section. Pulled auger assembly away from frame. Removed auger blades from shaft. Separated gear box. Replaced damaged gear, Greased up and put auger assembly back together. Reattached front and rear section of snowblower

Worm gear worn out

Disassembled snowthrower front and rear parts. Removed front bucket augers and drive shaft from main body. Removed auger drive assembly gear box. Replaced worm gear. Had to use a gasket material to seal gear box. Re-assembled in reverse order. Replaced shave plate on bottom of bucket.
Removed the Auger assembly
Removed the right side auger blades
Opened the gearbox
Removed the broken gear
Replaced the gear with new one
Filled the gearbox with new grease
Put sealant on gearbox flanges
Bolted gearbox back together
Reinstalled right side auger blades
Lubricated bushing
