Gasket-intake 692284

Removed the old carb making sure throttle and choke rods were marked and noted how they were installed, hook up or down, to ease the reinstall and the correct order to complete it

First I had to remove the air cleaner. Then I had to remove the carb and manifold assembly. After that I had to remove the manifolds. When it was just the carburetor I had to put it in the vise to remove and replace the fuel inlet fitting , as it is a pressed fitting. Caution should taken not to over press it. Then I put the new bowl and ... Read more gasket to the carburetor. The solenoid is what holds the bowl in place of a bolt. After reassembly and testing I discovered it was still leaking. Apparently as it turned out it was the internal seal on the solenoid . i ordered a new one and installed it and no further leaks were found.

Pulled the air breather then pulled the carburetor. Disassembled the carburetor and cleaned it then made sure all the passages were clean and free of debris. Reassembled with new needle valve. Put the carburetor and breather back on and changed the oil. Changed the spark plug with the proper gap. I the set the air mixture screw at 1 full ... Read more turn out from all the way screwed in and started the motor. I ended with adjusting the air mixture to 3/4 turn out. Runs great

Removed and cleaned the carburetor, replaced the bowl and float needle valve. Added an inline gas shutoff valve. Replaced the spark plug, filled with fresh gas, and started on first pull.

1. Removed the breather assembly.
2. Removed the carburetor.
3. Removed the intake manifold.
4. Replaced the manifold and the gasket.
5. Reinstalled the carburetor and the gaskets.
6. Reinstalled the breather assembly.
7. Runs fine!
