This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement oil cap. It is specifically manufactured for Poulan and Husqvarna chainsaws and pole saws. It is designed to keep the oil in the tank. Looked up the order of parts , (ie muffler, heat shield, mtg plate ) and where the gasket was inserted. Replaced air filter while servicing. The oil cap retaining cord had broken so it was replaced.

Air filter was clogged and oil cap broke is freezing weather.
Removed top cover of saw and pulled old filter off and snapped new filter on. Easy...
Squeezed Oil filter cap retainer together and inserted into reservoir and screwed cap on. Very easy...
