This genuine OEM sourced replacement part is designed for use with pressure washers. If the pressure washer runs too long with out the release of water from the sprayer, the water will heat up inside the pump. Once the water gets to a certain temperature the thermal valve will open and release the pressurized hot water, to protect the pump. If this happens too often you have a greater chance of damaging your pump. This valve consists of one (1) metal and one (1) plastic piece. To complete this repair you will need a wrench.

Hi Dennis, Thank you for your question. If the motor on the compressor runs, but then stops after you pull the trigger, you likely have a malfunctioning unloader valve, but you should also check the piston, the o-rings and the trigger. If the unloader valve is not set correctly and the trigger is not working correctly when you press it, the pressure washer will shut down.
