Plastic auger housing cracked and needed to be replaced

The replacement is a straight forward removal of a few dozen nuts and bolts and the associated housings. The only complicated part was removal of the pulley wheel that is threaded on to the end of the auger blades. This wheel has left handed threads (they screw backwards - clockwise to remove, counterclockwise to tighten) and the thread s are treated with some type of loctite that needs heat to loosen it. A little heat from a propane torch (cheap ones from the hardware store work just fine) and a 1 inch wrench (hub of pulley is in the shape of a 1 inch bolt) will do the job. Only reason why the job took over two hours was I also changed out all pads on the auger (as well as the gas lines, gas filter, oil, and spark plug). If you\'re just changing out the auger housing assembly it should take only about 2-3 hours.

you just put it back together the way you took it a part. this was small job and very easy snow blowers and lawn mowers are easy just put it back the way it was taken apart. took long time to get parts so if your not an experanced at fixing things don\'t take apart till you have parts or you can run into problems when putting it back toge ther. take pictures or video that will help them that are not good at fixing things put it back together.
