This is an authentic OEM sourced starter assembly that is designed for use with Shindaiwa handheld lawn and garden equipment. It is the starter assembly that is used to pull-start the unit. Starter consist of a pulley, a return spring, the starter cord, and a clutch-like system that engages the engine's drive shaft. Any part of a starter assembly can break from normal wear. One durable plastic recoil starter assembly is included per order, please note the hardware to secure it is sold separately.

Simple repair. Remove 4 screws that hold the starter assembly to the blower. Then I installed the new starter assembly with 4 new screws. Perfect match.

Blower starter rope assembly broken

Remove the broken starter rope recoil assembly by removing 4 screws and replace the new starter rope assy and attached the 4 screws. Done. starter the blower

The broken cord had been retied but was too short to provide an adequate pull. I removed the 4 screws holding the old starter. Installed the new assembly with those same 4 screws, pulled the cord one time, and the blower started.

New starter came in a few days. you can tell right away that it was a quality part. Used allen wrench to remove four screws, R/R part took three minutes. Good as new. Thanks
