Auger clutch cable broke

Remove 2 bolts on plastic cover, remove old cable from end,Put new cable on auger clutch end(hard part)had to open up end of cable near spring. Feed cable thru 2 pulleys and up to auger clutch handle. Have to adjust auger clutch cable so auger engages fully when handle is depressed and also stops completely when released. IT WAS REALLY NI CE WORKING IN MY DRIVEWAY ON A SUNNY 48 DEGREE DAY ON DEC. 6 IN WISCONSIN!

Auger spring on the end of the cable broke off.

1. Remove plastic housing on top of the unit (2 bolts).
2. Remove guide two (2) cable guide wheels four (4) bolts.
3. Remove one (1) guide wheel from upper part of cable that is located on the bracket that was removed. Spray bolt with a rust spray, let soak a few minutes and then remove guide bolt.
4. Remove cable f rom clutch cable handle located on the handle on top of the unit.
5. Hook cable spring to the auger pulley assembly that is adjacent to the two (2) drive belts.
6. Attach cable guide while placing the cable in the cable guide grooves.
7. Attach both cable guide brackets.
8. Attach cable to the handle.
9. Attach plastic shield to the snow blower.
10. Start blower and test.

Drive Clutch cable snapped

1) Remove bolts that separate the Drive section of the Snowblower from the Auger section
2) Locate and remove the broken drive clutch cable, unhook the spring if it is still connected to the clutch
3) Snake the new cable out the back sided of the Snowblower drive section.
4) Connect the new spring end of the cable to the clutch. Needle nose pliers are best.
5) Feed the drive cable through any pulleys or guides.
6) Attach the cable end to the handle and handle lever that engages the clutch
7) Adjust the cable tension so the clutch engages properly

1. Removed snow exit chute
2. took shroud off of belt housing
3. removed old cable, did remove the belt pulley to remove and insert the cable spring
3. reassembled everything in opposite order and adjusted the cable tension
4. tried to find cable locally, should have ordered it here in the first place, super fast d elivery and cable was exact replacement for the original

removed old cable, and replaced with new cable and adjusted it. it was fairly simple to do.
just loosen the two rollers for the cable undo the cable on the handle and remove the cable. then just reverse for installation, the hardest thing was to get the spring connected to the tensioner. You have to angle it just right and it goes i n.

Removed auger cable unhooked from handle lever threaded through first pulley removed 2nd pulley unhooked from engage pulley.
Replaced auger cable reversed the removal of cable.
Tested auger cable and adjusted the cable.
