1. remove 3 screws
2. remove the cooler shield
3. remove old o-ring from crankcase cover
4. install new o-ring on crankcase cover
5. carefully align the rod and a cover, mount on the block
6. install cooler shield carefully align the 2 screws through the cover and a 3rd screw at top

Unscrewed the star drive screws holding the plastic housing and quick start, 3 were on the back and 1 was on the front. Quick start slides out easily, new one slides in with oring preinstalled. Screws go back in. This part came with a new oring already installed.

Used a parts diagram for my trimmer and removed all the pieces then put them back with the diagram as a reference. Timed the coil with a business card.

Remove rear plastic cover
remove metal crank case
remove old broken o ring
clean old oil and install new o ring
add blue locktite to bolts
reinstall plastic cover

Bolt broken off and engine O ring blown

1. Removal of the back plastic motor housing with Torx driver.
2. Removal of motor housing.
3. Replace blown O ring with new and added a little oil on O ring.
4. Reinstalled parts and added new spark plug gapped at 0.025
