Crankcase bolt broke in half leading to a gasket blowout and no compression=trimmer stopped working.

1. Replaced gasket (O-ring) but broke piston rings when trying to reassemble the head to the crankcase. Couldn\'t find rings anywhere, so had to buy a new \"short block\" (still cheaper than a new trimmer).
2 Short block didn\'t have any of its mounting holes tapped for screws. So, I had to spend a few hours carefully tapping th e various mounting holes for the various sized screws.
3. Once that was done, I reassembled the motor and the trimmer started up after a few tries. It\'s working well so far.

Used a parts diagram for my trimmer and removed all the pieces then put them back with the diagram as a reference. Timed the coil with a business card.
