Removed the fuel from the old tank. Then removed the screws holding the tank, then removed the fuel hose, then the old tank. Installed the new tank and secured it with the screws and installed the fuel hose.
Removed the old axle assembly and replaced it with the new one. Used a floor jack to lift it in place while the lawn tractor was on jack stands. Only took about 2 hours to repair. My 3/8 drive air ratchet I used is over 40 years old and still made easy work removing and replacing the axle assembly.
1. Unbolt old tank (2 screws)
2. Lift out to access fuel line hose clamp, remove
3. Attach fuel line to new tank, secure with clamp
4. Attach fuel tank to mower with two screws
