I viewed your you tube video on \'How to Rebuild a Two Cycle/Two Stroke Engine Carburetor\' It made this repair much easier than I thought it would be. Here is the link I copied for those that may want to watch it.

Keep things clean. Remove all oil with TCE brake cleaner before rebuild (don\'t get TCE on rubber gaskets, will dissolve them). I use hylomar (sparingly) on carb to block gasket for future easy removal. Adjust carb screws and run, then get busy doing REAL work. PS: Be certain to know how to correctly set the float if it needs to be r eset after new part installation.

Chainsaw had been sitting in a long time and would not start. After investigation noticed metering diaphragm was split.
1. Removed Top covers from top of chainsaw
2. Removed air filter and filter housing from carb. Be careful of throttle cable attached to cover.
3. Remove fuel lines from carb
4. Remove carb uretor from saw.
5. Disassembled carburetor keeping note of which screws go where.
6. Clean all jets and orifices with carb cleaner. Take care not to lose small parts such as pins and springs.
7. Replace parts with new parts that come in carb rebuild kit. Take care in noticing which direction gaskets come off and replace new gaskets in the same orientation. Be sure to clean all gaskets services before installing new gaskets. No sealant is required on any gaskets.
8. Reassembly is opposite of removal.
