Product Description

?

This clutch washer, also known as a circular washer, cushions and absorbs shocks and prevents direct contact between the clutch drum and the engine. Typically located in the clutch assembly of your equipment, the washer measures 10.2 millimeters in inner diameter, 24.5 millimeters in outer diameter, and 1.2 millimeters in thickness. Over time, it can wear out or become damaged due to regular use, insufficient lubrication, or exposure to excessive heat. If you notice signs like warping, cracking, or significant wear on the outer or inner surfaces, it is crucial to replace the clutch washer. Failing to do so can result in reduced power transmission between the engine and cutting blades, leading to diminished performance and potential costly repairs. To replace it, start by removing the chain cover and bar, then loosen and remove the clutch assembly. Carefully replace the old clutch washer with the new one, and reassemble your equipment in reverse order. Please keep in mind that this replacement part is sourced directly from its original equipment manufacturer and is sold individually.

Took the chain cover off. Removed old parts and installed new parts. Very simple fix. The only problem was the parts shown for my model and serial number were wrong so I had to order the correct parts. I had to look at different model numbers to find the correct parts

Chain derail near drive inlet

I first changed to a new bar and chain; problem persisted. Then I went to also change the sprocket and needle bearing, and noticed the clutch washer excessively worn, so I obtained the both washers. I don\'t have any experience to know whether this solved the problem, but the only other thing that I can change is the bar hold down itself.

In order to remove the clutch, with the bar and chain already off, remove the spark plug and feed some rope into the cylinder. Keeping the engine upright so the rope does not fall into the intake or exhaust ports, turn the clutch CCW (for the left-handed thread holding it on the crankshaft) until the piston stops against the wadded rope. Then take a large screwdriver against a good surface on the clutch and pop it with a hammer CCW. Reverse the above to complete the process.
