This is an authentic OEM part for use in Troy-Bilt trimmers and goes inside the cutting head assembly. If this part becomes broken it will need to be replaced. A screwdriver may be needed when replacing this part. The bump knob is made of plastic and is available as an individual replacement part.

I unscrewed the gearbox and installed the new gearbox to the drive shaft. I needed the cutting head assembly just screws onto the shaft from the gear box. The bump head snaps onto the housing, but I ordered one just to have a spare.

Line not coming or too much coming, line not cutting, tune up
Remove the bottom cap of the cutterhead remove the old bump head and snap on the cover.
Replace the blade assembly with the screws and nuts. Remove the old spark plug and install the new one.
1. Remove screws from bottom casing.
2. Remove 2 upper cover screws.
3. Remove screw on oil fill plug.
4. Pull out and replace fill plug.
5. Replace all screws.
