There was not what you would call a problem. the fittings are glued so as not to leak this made them very hard to remove.

Two things to be aware of for this repair:
1. Replace the fitting between the switch and reducer, if I would have known this I would have ordered it with the other two parts. This fitting as are the others are very difficult to remove, the glue and the amount of torque used to install them really contributes to it. I removed the swi tch from the compressor and mounted it in a vise by the metal part of it to remove.
2. Where the pressure tube goes into the switch there is a release which allows you to remove the fitting the tube goes into, this makes it easier to remove the tube.
But it\'s done and works great, I\'m glad eReplacement parts was available, they had the exact replacement parts and priced very reasonably. I\'m gonna have to keep them in mind.

Adjustable pressure reducer knob stripped threads

I found that in order to replace the entire pressure reducer assembly that includes the reducer and threaded knob, that it needed to be removed from the compressor. I found it easier to just remove the old damaged part from the compressor, remove only the new threaded pressure reducer knob from the new part and put it on the old assembly . I did not have any thin open ended wrenches to take the entire assembly off of the compressor. I just removed the old stripped out pressure part and replaced it with just two adjustable wrenches and some channel-locks. Did not want to have to buy any new tools or replace any parts that were not broken. Start to finish less than 10 minutes. Now I can once again adjust the hose pressure.

To replace the pressure switch, I removed the parts that do not come with the new pressure switch. I removed the cover and noted how the wires were connected. Then remove the old pressure switch and installed the new one. I wired it the same as the old one , then installed the new pressure guage on it. I then connected the new pressure re ducer to the switch, and used the parts from the old one and put them on the new one.

1. Took off the pressure regulator assembly. This has to be done to allow room for the adjusting knob as the pressure reducer is screwed in.
2. Screwed on the new pressure reducer.
3. Screwed on the outlet assembly.
4. Screwed on the pressure gauge.
5. Reinstalled the pressure regulator assembly.

Tag / label everything you remove ... be careful , be patient removing and replacing what you need to replace or remove or transfer to your new part.... Mark, tag, color coat wiring and switch for easy reassembling... A vice/ liquid wrench and loctite is useful to have on hand. Take your time it took me two (2) hours straight from start t o finish... 2 Thin open end wrenches needed to remove gauge and nipple.... hope this helps.

1.) Carefully removed old air chuck, pressure gauges, and 3/8 double threaded piece from pressure reducer and cleaned threads of any parts that you intend to re-use, like in my case, the air chuck and pressure gauge that screws into pressure reducer with brass wire brush.
2.) Wrap each threaded piece clockwise with Teflon tape.
3.) Before installing new Pressure reducer, pay attention to arrow on bottom of reducer...this arrow should point toward air chuck when installed correctly.
4.) After CAREFULLY threading all parts back into reducer(you DO NOT want to put a lot of stress or pressure from a rubber jawed vise or vise-grips) on the reducer, so only tighten 1/4 turn past finger tight, or you will break the reducer...this thing is made from cast!)
5.) Reinstall complete assembly and check for leaks...done!
