Aligned tabs on spool cap, to the spaces on the spool housing and it snap right in.

The spool cover which holds the spool of string cracked, and one of the \"keepers\" that holds the string in position flew out of it, never to be seen again.
eReplacement Parts sent exactly the part I needed, which was the Spool Cover. From there it was a simple matter of inserting the spool of nylon string and then attaching the spool cover to the trimmer. The only difficulty I had was during the first two attempts I didn\'t use enough force to properly seat the spool into the spool cover.
... Read more As a result, the spool came loose, and the string unwound. The new Spool Cover requires a little more force to seat the spool of string properly in the Spool Cover. When I applied more pressure and heard the spool click into place, everything worked perfectly.
Remove the cover. Mine was broken and jammed so I had to use a screwdriver to pry it off. Install the spool and line. Make sure to thread the line through the eyelets. The cover just snaps in place.
Remove old spool cover and spool.
Remove spool from old spool cover.
Place spool in new cover and run trimmer string through holes in spool cover.
Place new spool cover on trimmer head.
Trimmer is ready to use.
Removed the old bottom cap, removed the old spool. Pulled the broken lever from the spool housing and press on the new one. Installed the new spool and the new bottom cap
