This is a genuine Black and Decker replacement part, it is sold individually. The purpose of the Spool Cover is to secure the spool and line in the spool housing. It is held in place by two tabs on each side. To remove the Spool Cover press on the two tabs and it will release from the spool housing.
1. Try to find a matching spool cover in your nearest hardware store.
2. Failing that, ask Google who to call to get a replacement cover
3. Order the replacement spool cover.
4. Relax for about 3 days.
5. Receive the package containing the replacement spool cover.
6. Open the package.

8. Snap the spool cover on your trimmer.
9. Plug in your trimmer and trim to your heart\'s content,

So, for about $20, I was able to refurbish my week whacker so it works as if it\'s brand new. Thanks for being there when I needed parts that I didn\'t think I\'d be able to replace.
Remove the broken cover and removed the spool. Removed the lever from inside the spool housing and replaced it with the new one. Then replaced the spool, and snapped the new cover on
