Carbon brushes are a commonly replaced item on power tools, through friction and use they will gradually wear away eventually requiring replacement. 5. Installed the new brush plate.
6. Installed the armature and coil assembly.
7. Installed new brushes.
8. Assembled unit with Torx nut drivers paying close attention to wire routing, and carefully inserting the round spring for the direction switch.
