This is an authentic manufacturer approved replacement part designed for use with Porter Cable nailer. The purpose of a nose cap is to prevent the material that it is being used on from getting marred or dented by the pushing lever. It is a advisable to have one or two extra on hand as they do have a tendency to crack and deteriorate over time or simply get lost. It is made out of plastic and it is sold individually. To replace this item you do not need any tools, simply slide it over the safety element.

Nomar pad was gone and the heat in Florida rotted the grommets. One if the pins then fell out.
