Take 4 screws out gently pry platen away from motor, re attach new one with hex screws.

Clamps wouldnGÇÖt hold sandpaper

Remove 4 screws and take off the old part, side the new part into place and hand tighten the 4 screws with a small Allen wrench

The sanding pad was worn out along with the planten assembly. Would not hold sand paper sheets.

Removed the 4 screws in the bottom of the sander pad. The pad plate and cushion came off. Grabbed the platen assembly by the sides and lifted it off the motor assembly. The only screws holding it in place are the 4 in the sander pad. Pushed the new platen assembly in place, replaced the sanding pad and cushion with the new one and screwe d the holding everything in place.
Word of advise. If ordering, order several sanding pad plates and cushions. They wear out fast.
Very easy to do.

Removed 4 small screws from the base. Used air hose to clean out sawdust. Lined up the new base set the 4 screws. Tested. Easy repair.
