It was very easy to fix with just two screws. Just remove the two screws, replace the part and put the screws back in.

1. Removed four screws securing sander backing plate.
2. Removed spring clamp assembly
3. Removed rubber cushion.
4. Cleaned surface area for new rubber cushion.
5. Peeled backing paper off new rubber cushion and adhered to correct location.
6. Positioned new spring clamp assembly in proper location.
7. Placed new sander backing plate assembly in proper location and secured with original screws.

1. Removed scews that secured part to be replace.
2. Removed the defective part paying attention to position and fit.
3. Placed new part in proper position and secured with original screws.
