1. Inserted line guide pawl.
2. Placed spacer on line guide pawl.
3. Tightened pawl cap to complete repair.

Part missing cap missing and needed cleaning

Remove side cover and removed spool. Removed handle and drag assy. Had to soak it had been sitting up for 2 years. Cleaned with warm soapy water with swabs replace new lube and reassembled. This is not required to replace Pawl just remove cap and drop pawl in secure cap and lube.

Took reel apart and replaced pawl cap and spacer very easy,and while reel was apart greased and lubed bearings ,and internal parts ,and new line ,reel is like new again

Remove the dust cover from the level wind, be careful to not loose the \"small flat washer\" spacer. Remove the level wind pawl and install new pawl. Reinstall the spacer and dust cover. easy 5 minute fix. You may as well oil your reel while your there.

I simply removed the broken paw screw and installed the paw, spacer and then screwed on the paw screw.
