It is an important part of the drag mechanism that applies tension on the line preventing it from reeling out too fast. This is an identical replacement for a damaged or a faulty hardware that was installed on a new unit. One durable metal click pin is included. Check the diagrams of your model for the exact location and the correct installation of this component. Replacing it will require a screwdriver in order to remove and reattach the side cover. Note, other parts of the drag mechanism are all sold separately.
