I took the outer case apart then replaced the circuit board which came with on/off switch, speed control, and lights.I had to be careful when putting the case back together because of a spring and 2 switches.

1. Removed side screws and clip from rear of unit.
2. Gently removed circuit board and related parts noting position.
3. Positioned wires and board of new assy.
4. Reassembled unit. Tested. All good for now thank you.

Variable speed quit

Separated the 2 halves of the rotary tool housing.. Removed the faulty variable speed control. Installed new variable speed and assembled the 2 halves of the housing back together.

The hardest part was finding a T9 Torxs screwdriver.

finding the right driver bit to take the halves apart.
Laying out everything in order
Unplug current electronics pieces
Orient new pieces
Plug in new pieces and place Dremmel halves back together
put in screws and test

Cordless Dremel motor bearing was grinding, bits wobbled & switch was rough

1. Unscrew the Torx screws holding the tool housing together, remove the horseshoe clip from inside the battery tunnel
2. Take photos of the interior motor & switch wiring & positioning for reference if repair doesn\'t go your way the first attempt
3. Remove old motor, remove old switch assembly, take photo of wiring
4. Install new motor & switch in same positions as before, routing wiring in same fashion as factory using photos as needed
5. Reassemble housing using the Torx screws & horseshoe clip
6. Test for function

Burned out transistor

The electronics part had everything pre-wired for my Dremel. It was slipped into housing. Only issue was bending the wires connecting the three parts. Use the old part as guide before removing it from tool.
