Echo trimmer would turn on great then get hot and stop would have to wait to turn on and repeat

Removed the shield.
Removed the old coil.
Install the new coil, not tightening the screw all the way.
Turned the flywheel until the magnets and coil lined up
Set the gap between the magnets and flywheel at 0.010
Tightened the coil screws and put the shield.

Coil no good

Took the cover off the removed the off and removed the defective coil. I then spaced the new coil between the flywheel magnets and the and the coil at the thickness of standard business card. Running great now.

1. Remove old coil
2. Replace and re-gap new coil
3. Install new starter assembly
4. Install new screws
5. Re-gap and install spark plug
6. Fill with new fuel
7. Replace fuel tank filter
8. Start unit

No spark

Remove plastic cover removed coil first I tried cleaning magnets on coil &shaft still no spark changed cool regap put it together one pull the machine ran perfectly

ignition coil failed

Removed the engine from the casing in order to access the coil.
Replaced the coil.
Changed out the wiring harness including the main on/off and grill switches as long as I was \'in the area\'
Reinstalled the motor in the outer casings.
Test ran the blower. (worked like new)
Advise to take photos of wiring rou ting before removing the existing
harness!
