This is an authentic Delta replacement part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with mortisers. The metal cover fits over the lower rack and is used to prevent sawdust and wood chips from clogging the teeth on the rack to allow the fence to move freely. The special rack cover is available as an individual replacement part. A screwdriver is needed to install this item.
