This armature is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer. Composed of metal, wiring and plastic, this important component is sold individually. The armature is made for use with the XDT11R Cordless Impact Driver. This part is fitted between the yoke unit and brush holder, inducing an electric current which interacts with magnetic fields to create torque. A wrench and a Phillips screwdriver are needed to make the replacement.

Dissasembled and replaced the armature and brush holder The videos were very helpful. The most difficult part was getting everythign lined up correctly so it would go back together. I have not used the drill much since the repair so I\'m not 100% sure that everything is working, but I have a high degree of confidence.
Removed housing screws. Removed armature from transmission and brush holder. Installed new armature. Removed screws on switch from brush holder and removed switch and brush holder. Reconnected wire to switch from brush holder and reassembled in reverse order.
