This spacer is a genuine replacement part supplied by Makita. It is typically used in circular saws. This spacer is placed in-between the bearing retainer (part 285848-3) and the safety cover (part 318963-9). It is made of metal, and it should be replaced if it is missing or damaged. A screwdriver is needed to replace it.
