This item is sourced from the original manufacturer. It is an authentic part used with riding lawn tractors/mowers. This is the switch that allows user to engage blades. To stop mower blades, place attachment clutch control in the "DISENGAGED" position. One (1) plastic switch is included per order. Mechanical switches tend to break with time, eventually requiring replacement. This is standard 8 terminal black switch. Replacing this switch is a simple task. • Make sure to disconnect spark plug • Once you gained access under the housing disconnect wires • Remove old switch by pushing on side tabs • Secure new PTO switch • Reconnect wires and spark plug • Test the unit

Took out the spark plug, and disconnected the wires behind the panel. Removed the old switch and put on the new one then reassembled. Part worked good, and it was correct.

Engine would not turn over bad safety interlock switch
Replaced all switches 1 at a time
Changed switch under seat then ignition switch next still nothing
Change solenoid nothing
Change brake switch then it started
That was the hardest one to replace
Lowes wanted $ 300.00 just to look at it
Total cost of all 4 parts was under $75.00
Raised hood, removed electrical plug from PTO switch. Squeezed tabs in on PTO switch so it would push out of dash through the top side of the dash. Snapped new PTO switch into the dash from the top. Reconnected electrical plug, and lowered hood.

PTO switch started shorting out and stopped cutting grass
Disconnected the wires from the rear of the switch. Made a wiring diagram. Installed the switch ,then placed the leads on the correct terminal plug in pulled switch from body and replaced.
After installing all the safety switches and still nothing, I noticed that the voltage meter wasn\'t moving when I turned the key so I reached my hand back to wiggle the wires and it cranked right up. I guess it had grounded the mower.
