This mandrel assembly is for lawn tractors.
The mandrel assembly attaches to the mower deck and spins the blades. The assembly may include multiple parts; refer to your parts diagram for a complete list of parts included.
Wear work gloves to protect your hands when installing this part.
1. Hoist lawn tractor from front axles with small chain, with rear wheels just touching ground.
2. With Ryobi Impact driver and 15/16\" Impact Socket remove Blade Nut.
3. With appropriate socket wrench remove spindle shroud (1/4-20
... Read more bolts- 3ea).
. Disengage Mower Drive Belt clutch and remove mower drive from spindle pulley.
4. With Ryobi Impact driver and 1/2\" Impact Socket remove (4) 3/8\"-18 x 2/4\" Spindle mount bolts.
5. Clean all removed hardware and lightly grease all hardware for reinstallation. Replace any hardware that is unserviceable.
6. Clean deck where spindle is mounted. I used a pressure washer.
7. Reinstall new spindle, drive belt, drive belt shroud, and blade.
8. Lower lawn tractor slowly being careful not to get in the way.
9. Perform Tool inventory and reinspect all mechanisms for function and obstructions.
10. Refill gas tank.
11. Start Lawn Tractor.
12. Engage lawn mower deck, perform test cut. End.
