This part is an OEM from the Nutone manufacturer. The motor is constructed of metal and wiring, and is compatible with several fans and heaters. This part is most often secured onto the motor bracket scroll and the blower wheel vent. It is recommended to refer to specific manual and diagrams for repair instruction. This item is sold individually. A screwdriver may be helpful in the part replacement.
1) Remove light cover and bulb
2) Remove light housing by removing screw in the center, unplug cord for the light
3) Unplug the fan motor
4) Remove the two mount screws and remove fan assembly
5) Unbolt motor from the mount, remove the retainer clip that holds the cage on the shaft.

Removed fan assembly. Removed motor and impeller. Installed new impeller on new motor. Installed new motor to fan assembly. Replaced fan in ceiling. Biggest problem was that I misplaced one of the fan assembly screws to screw the fan back into its box in the ceiling and had to Gerry rig a new screw. Also, could not remember where motor\
... Read more's ground wire had been grounded to, so had to drill a new hole in the metal box for grounding screw. Other than those two bone headed stupidities, it was very simple.
