I had already removed the lens assembly and light. When the part came all I had to do was reattach the light and the assembly fit on it. One hand tightened screw completed the job. The light cover then popped right onto the assembly. Job completed.

Ensure you have the right model number from the fan unit. And check the dimensions published with the repair part to ensure you have the same size as what you are replacing. Grille and spring assembly is very straightforward. For grille and lens assembly, look at the new parts to see how they go together so you know how to take the old on e apart. It will save you some aggravation on the ladder.

Turn off the power to the fixture!
1. Lens snaps out with plastic spring clips. Mine disintegrated coming out.
2. Remove the light bulb
3. Light reflector is held in place by a single wing nut.
4. Remove the wing nut, and the reflector and grill will fall and be suspended by the bulb wire
5. Unplug the bulb wire (notice which socket it is plugged into)
6. Inspect the bulb wiring. Mine was brittle near the bulb and fell off leaving bare wire.
7. Bulb socket was held in by a spring clip. Squeeze with pliers from the back to remove.
8. Insert the new socket clip in the bracket and pry in to lock it in place
9. Place it in the new grille and I bene the mounting tabs to hold it in place during mounting.
10. Plug the bulb socket into its plug in the fixture.
11. There is a long screw coming down from the center of the fan.
12. That screw goes through the center hole in the bulb reflector.
13. Replace the wing nut on that screw and loosely hold the fixture in place with it.
14. The fixture rotates, so align it with the walls of the room and tighten the wing nut.
15. Replace the bulb. Mine burned because the bulb was to hot for the fixture so I used a 60W LED bulb
16. Snap the new lens into place.
17. Restore power and check operation.

Removed grille and lens, removed motor housing. Both a have plug ends. Removed motor from housing. Cleaned housing and installed new motor. Reinstalled motor housing, light bulbs and grille. The lens cover on the grille was not as deep as the original. The light bulbs came close to hitting the inside of the cover and felt hot when on. Rep laced the old incandescent bulbs (2) with LED. No heat all good. Done. Note: Replacement motor is better quality than the original.
