This is a table insert plate for your saw. It is attached to the table, and provides access to the blade. A table insert protects the rest of the unit by preventing wood from getting jammed under the blade during cutting. The slit in the insert plate allows for the saw blade to run smoothly. Removed bolts holding trunnion bracket onto saw and removed broken pieces that were still left on tool. Replaced with the new trunnions and set table back on top and screwed three bolts into each as was with the first set. Also replaced the table insert.
Removed knurled engage-disengage knob, removed snap ring, cleaned shaft, installed pulley and belts. Had to make minor change on table insert. Saw was a Rockwell Delta 28-300. after installation of wood cutting pulley, the saw took on a new personality. The saw was good at metal cutting, but great with wood working.
