This is an authentic DeLonghi replacement part designed for use with their Magnifica series. It is the large lid located on the top left of the machine and is designed to cover the beans container. This black plastic piece snaps into place easily. It is sold individually.
1 removed both sides of coffee machine to expose screws for front.
2 removed screws on both sides of the front
3 pried front out enough to grasp the hinge wire and pull it out, releasing the old door.
4 installed new door, replaced wire.
5 put screws back in front side, put sides back on and replaced screws.
... Read more6 Now the hard part! Door does not come with the cover. Had to work at removing the cover from the old door carefully, so as not to break the tabs on the cover. Essentially ending up breaking the tabs on the door piece to get it off.
7 Snapped old cover onto new door - and cancelled order for replacement.
Ordered new cover. Put new cover on by pushing into place. Easy job.
