This is a genuine Char-Broil part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with gas grills. The shield is used to cover and protect the gas tank from heat. It is an identical replacement for a missing or a damaged component that was installed on a new unit. One durable metal shield is included. Note, the hardware to secure it is sold separately. Check the owner's manual and the appropriate diagrams for your model to ensure the correct application.

Grease tray and heat tents where rusted out.

1. Removed the grill grates, grease tray, and heat tents.
2. Mounted the tank shield to the grease tray. (new screws not supplied).
3. Installed the grease tray assembly with the tank shield and grease pan into the back of the grill.
4. Installed 5 new heat tent over the burners and reinstalled the 4 grill grates.
