The shield is used to cover and protect the gas tank from heat. It is an identical replacement for a missing or a damaged component that was installed on a new unit. One durable metal shield is included. Note, the hardware to secure it is sold separately. Check the owner's manual and the appropriate diagrams for your model to ensure the correct application.
