Remove plastic side panel covering motor. If you lay the compressor down you will see 3 pulleys remove the bolt from the biggest pulley that drives the piston. With the grooves of the belt facing inward wrap around biggest pulley, pull both sides of the belt up on top of the middle pulley and wrap around the top pulley. Put everything bac k together and turn it on

1 Remove panel and cover for gauges regulator. All screws take a #30 Torx bit. Use with a small ratchet.
2. Remove cover for the fly wheel needs a smaller Torx Bit 12 or 14. The cover needs to be pried apart to expose the flywheel and piston rod. The best way to remove the bolt would be to use a 3/4 inch impact wrench. However, if y ou have no other compressor place a piece of wood under the piston rod for support and Use a 3/4 inch box wrench and if necessary a length of. Pipe over the wrench for leverage to loosen the bolt
3. You will probably need to gently pry the piston rod from the flywheel.
4. If the old belt was broken or badly worn remove it.
5. Install new belt. You can probably put the new belt on without adjusting the tension wheel.
6. Reassemble get push rod bolt as tight as you can then holding wrench firmly on nut tap it with a hammer several times lightly.
7. Replace cover over flywheel.
8. Replace gauges regulator etc in cover and replace on compressor body. Plug in and start.

I don\'t know if this is a reason for belts breaking, but I was leaving my compressor in an upright position. I have decided to lay it done. Might ha vs something to do with the water it collects and the piston.

Place compressor on work bench. Remove top plate and compressor case. Tire removal will help you with this. From this point belt access is very easy. You will need to remove air tube to access the compressor valve head. When the head is off, piston and sleeve may be removed. Replace compressor piston ring and seals. Insert new piston sle eve, replace valve head. Replace belt and tighten. Replace compressor case, tire and top plate.

Removed the dust cover from motor. Then I took the bolt that holds the piston rod loose and lowered the rod down. Then I started the belt on the top pulley and then around the tension pulley and then around the fly wheel. Just worked the belt with my fingers until it was in place. Replaced the piston rod bolt and tightened it. Tested the compressor and it worked great. Replaced the dust cover. Put it back to work the same day. Still working just fine.

replaced the check valve and belt. utube video helped re belt replacement. you have to disconnect the piston rod to remove/replace belt. very importantly you must set new belt tightness correctly, (utube for this also can be found via google) i had to use a impact wrench to remove nut for piston rod.
