This is a genuine manufacturer approved replacement dust duct assembly. It is specially designed for Dewalt miter saws. Its purpose is to redirect the dust away from the work area and the user. It is made out of plastic and it is sold individually. One end of this assembly has a rubbery-cloth triangle clamped to it. Please note adapter is sold separately.

Unscrewed the screw holding the old dust duct and slid out the part. Then, I slid the new dust duct part into place and tightened the screw back in place. Then connected my dust vac to the saw.
It was as easy to replace as it was to order the part. All I needed was a screw driver and 15 minutes it was done. I really enjoy doing business with these folks.
Took out one screw removed old tube. Had to redrill hole in new piece. The existing hole is drilled at wrong angle. Slide in new tube, reinstalled screw. DONE

Older DeWalt miter saw with worn and cut dust shoot, torn dust bag, and enlarged kerf board. These parts are difficult to find, even on sites like Etsy.
Disassembled and removed old parts. The kerf board fit great. I had to make sure the saw was cutting exactly at 90 degrees so I dialed it in before making the cut in the new plate.
Removed screw that attached dust duct. Pulled duct out, replaced with new one and re-installed screw. Done.
