This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part designed for use with Dewalt miter saws. This is the spiral retaining ring for the drive pulley. It is made out of metal and it is sold individually. To replace it you would need set of wrenches and pliers.

Spiral Retaining Ring
This part is a little difficult to install. You need to split the spirals with a screwdriver and force it over the shaft one side at a time as you push it down around the perimeter. The Ring worked as it should.

Removed motor from saw
Removed shaft with damaged bearing from motor
Removed old clip and damaged bearing
Pressed on new bearing and installed new clip
Reassembled motor
Re-installed motor to saw
I took the side cover off and removed belt. Removed motor and pulled the armature out, it has the bearing on it . I used a hydraulic press to remove the old bearing and press the new one on. Put it back together , runs great.
