after receiving parts installed springs, and brake,which gave me a little problem getting balance just right , put pad on and machine works great,very happy!!!
1. Removed 3 old screws.
2. Removed old pad.
3. Lined up holes in new pad with screw-settings in sander.
4. screwed in one new screw, just so it held.
5. Screwed in all three new screws, just so they held.
6. Went back and snugged in all three in rotation, about three times until tightened.

... Read more I would not have needed new screws, but I tried mounting a locally purchased \'universal\' pad, that didn\'t work very well, even though I was assured by the store it would work. Thus, messed up the original screws trying to tighten this crappy universal pad. Nothing works better than getting the right part for the tool, for best performance...which is exactly what I did with eReplacement parts, and shipping was quick. Very satisfied.
