This is genuine OEM sourced replacement parts designed for use with Makita planers. These are double-edged tungsten-carbide planer blades that are 3-1/4"long. Planer knives are machined to make very precise cuts. When knife blades wear down, you won't get the level of precision you require and the blades would need to be replaced. These are double edged blades for double the cutting life. To replace the blades you will need a wrench.

1. Followed video instructions to remove old blades.
2. Used socket set to loosen retainer for each blade (3 screws, done one blade at a time).
3. Removed old blades; they slid right out.
